The Lake-Sumter Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is an independent governmental agency providing regional transportation planning services to 16 member governments. The MPO staff assists the Technical Advisory Committee, the Citizen Advisory Committee, the Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee, the Transportation Disadvantaged Coordinating Board, and MPO Board with their various functions. In addition, the staff provides planning resources to the member governments and the staff provides information and data to the public. The staff of the MPO is listed below. In addition, the MPO also receives Geographic Information Systems (GIS) support, as well as support on some administrative functions, through an interlocal agreement with Lake County Government.
